| Michael was elected President in October 2002, He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1995, previously serving as Director of Coaching & Player Development and Director of Indoor Soccer. In the past, he has served on the Scholarship, Tryout and Uniform Selection Committees.
He holds a National D Coaching License. He has coached in the Massachusetts District Select Program, MAPLE, the French River Soccer League (HS Division) and at the high school and college levels, as well as at every level from Under 6 to Under 18 within WYSA. Back in "the old days", he was captain of his high school team at Blackstone Valley Tech in Upton, MA. Michael is a licensed USSF and CMSO referee, having participated in matches for all age groups from U10 through U19 in league play as well as the Massachusetts Premier League and high schools across central Massachusetts. He has served on the Board of Directors and was the Head Referee for the Assabet Valley Youth Soccer League as well as Westboro's representative to AVYSL. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors of the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League, as the Chairman of the Sportsmanship Review Committee. He is currently the Vice President of Chauncy Futbol Club in the Mass Premier League. In 1999, Michael published "Westboro Youth Soccer for Mommies and Daddies...", a comprehensive guide to WYSA. He has written for and edited the Lazer Beam newsletter. He designed this web site and is currently WYSA's webmaster. |
| Ken was appointed to the Board of Directors for in 2000. He was elected Vice President in Fall 2005. Ken has previously acted as Girls Under 14 Director. He is also the Equipment Director for WYSA. Ken has been very active in working to improve the tryout process at all levels. He is actively involved in the training and education of our WYSA and players, running several clinics year round.
Ken holds a National C License, has coached in the Massachusetts District Select Program. MAPLE and is currently President of Chauncy Futbol Club in the Massachusetts Premier League. In May 2006, Ken became the Westborough High School Boys Varsity Soccer Coach and successfully sttered the team to the District PLayoff for two consecutive seasons. He formerly played on several adult teams in the area. |
| Mary's involvement with WYSA began in January of 2005. She is responsible for handling all aspects of registration for WYSA. She processes incoming applications, maintains the database, produces reports and works with the Age Directors, coaches and President, as well as the leagues, to form teams. She insures that all necessary paperwork is in place, is correct and is on time. In the past, Mary performed double duties as Westboro's representative at the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League meetings. She also helps to organize tryouts for WYSA. |
Michelle was apponted to the Board in the summer of 2007 to handle the Under 6 age group. Michelle has two sons playing in the Lazers organization. |

| John is responsible for the Boys Under 12 teams and coaches. He was appointed to the Board in June 2003. In his youth, he was an All-Star for Jamestown (RI), playing keeper and striker.
He has coached youth soccer at all age levels and has 16 years experience coaching at the high school level. He had been the JV Coach at Millbury HS from 1994 until 2004, when he took over as Vasity Boys Soccer coach for Millbury. John left that post after the 2006 season to devote full time to his family and WYSA. |
| Wayne is responsible for WYSA's High School aged girls teams. Previously he was the U14 age director and was our Assabet Representative for 4 years. In addition, he was the Assabet Valley Youth Soccer League President for 1 year and the Vice President for two years. Wayne holds an E license and has coached at WYSA since 1997, at every level from U6 to U18. |
Bob was appointed WYSA's Referee Director in July 2005. In this role, Bob is responsible for training, development and retention programs for referees as well as improving our current referee assignment, reporting and payment systems. In addition, Bob works closely with the referee directors from the league in which WYSA competes as well as with other local referee assignors and directors to improve communications between associations. This is his second assignment to the Board, having previously served (1997) as the original founder and Director for the High School age group. He also championed the scholarship program offered by the Association. In July 2007, Bob was appointed to the Board of Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League as U18 Director. Originally licensed as a referee in the summer of 2000, Bob has adjudicated games from U10 through U18 and from recreational to MTOC including refereeing at NCUP championships. Bob is also a licensed coach and has led teams from U10 to U18 within WYSA since the early days of the organization. Bob's love for the game was developed by his three sons who all have had extensive careers as players, licensed coaches, and licensed referees. Bob is also a devoted N.E. Revolution fan (ask him about his seats) as well as a follower of the US Men's National Team. |
