04/12/2008: Congratulations!

WYSA wants to offer congratulations to our new grade 9 referees this season. They are Conner Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Hastings, Christine Hillier, Michael Hillier, Ethan Peterson, Jake, Pirdy, Alan, Portis, and Taylor Chase. WYSA also wants to congratulate Kevin Egan on a new grade 8 referee. Also congratulations to Rajiv Banavali, Sanjiv Banavali, Alexandra Webb, and Jacqueline Webb on upgrading from their grade 9 to grade 8 licenses.

Reminders & Notes

Please be a teacher for U8s and U10s

Please remember to explain your calls to the players in al U8 and U10 games. They need to learn for you, the expert! Also, use your hand signals...they need to learn what they mean......and so do many of the coaches  :-)

What to do, where to go, what to where, and when to be there!

All referees officiating at WYSA home games are expected to: Be at their assigned field 15 minutes prior to a game Be in a full referee uniform (shirt, shorts, and socks) Respond to assignment e-mails within than two (2) days of receipt and phone calls within one (1) day. We will assume you are not interested in the games if we do not hear from you in this these time frames. Review assignments when they are posted on this site as the WYSA schedule becomes available If you must cancel an agreed upon assignment, this must be done at least two days prior to the assignment. (Of course illness or other unavoidable situation will waive this requirement.)

We're a two league association!

Please remember we officiate in two different leagues:  NVYSL and InTown. Be sure you know the league specific rules before entering the field. A document with the rules differences can be found in the information section.
